Today we released a big update to TopScore. Here's what changed:
All TopScore leagues and tournaments now come with built-in mailing list support. This was our most requested major enhancement.
By default, TopScore's mailing lists are configured to be sent through your TopScore domain (e.g. abcd.usetopscore.com, where abcd is specific to your organization).
TopScore supports customization of this address through the steps below.
Welcome two new partners! Skylands Ultimate League and Sacramento Ultimate Players Association!
SUPA is the official winner of our Free Website Contest! The random drawing in May selected participants from who signed on to our mailing list. SUPA now has a website they can be proud of.
SUPA is a young group, created in 2003. They are growing quickly, running three leagues and several tournaments per year.
Recently, we surveyed our partners to assess how we've done so far and where TopScore should be headed in the future.
We received responses from members of all of our partner organizations. The information provided will help guide us in development of TopScore.
Here's what our partners had to say, complete with brightly colored shapes (also known as graphs).
That's the sound of a tiger growling with pleasure at our checkout features.
Our checkout system supports powerful transaction administration, multiple memberships, coupons, and product tie-ins.
Read on below to learn more about each.
The transaction section allows administrators to see all incoming payments, review transactions, and issue refunds. Suspicious and cancelled transactions are automatically flagged for review. Transactions can be filtered in a variety of ways, so you can view all of one player's transactions or see transactions including a certain coupon.
One random member of the TopScore mailing list will win a free website for their organization. That's no set up fee and no registration fees for all of 2011! The drawing will be done on May 2nd and will be announced on the blog shortly thereafter.
The TopScore mailing list is used to announce developments, updates, and promotions a few times per month. If your organization is interested in potentially using TopScore, the mailing list is the place to be.
Albany Ultimate Disc Association is super special awesome and (we think) looks great!
Community for Pittsburgh Ultimate is a site to be passed on from generation to generation it's so good!
We love our partners and appreciate their enthusiasm for the game! Oooooh, pretty pictures.
TopScore's latest update added support for registration groups (aka baggage), the ability to group players when constructing teams.
Allowing groups of players to register together facilitates ride sharing and designated driving, teaching and attendance. We have been programming furiously to make it a natural part of out registration process.
We are excited to announce the launch of our shiny new baggage system. Let's look at it in detail.
We're thrilled to announce that three new partners have joined TopScore: Community for Pittsburgh Ultimate, Ithaca Area Ultimate Alliance and the Triangle Flying Disc Association.
With these additions, there are over 6,000 players using TopScore. We're thrilled to see the TopScore community growing and are looking forward to the response from all our new participants.
Because TopScore is cooperative software, new partners bring new ideas and features. Soon, TopScore will have:
Last weekend, February 26th and 27th, FlickSwitch attended the USA Ultimate National Organizers Convention to demo and discuss our TopScore service. We received overwhelming positive feedback from everyone, as well as some great requests for future features.
FlickSwitch is excited to be working with Albany Ultimate to create a new website for managing their ultimate leagues. The new site will be based on similar software to what we've developed for pada.org.
The new site will vastly improve Albany's ability to mange their leagues, tournaments and other events as well as result in a better experience for their players. Because Albany is currently paying fees to 3rd parties per registration, it'll also save them money.
We're super-mega-ultra excited to announce the launch of the redesign of pada.org. PADA runs dozens of ultimate frisbee leagues and tournaments in the greater Philadelphia region.
Maintenance on the previous PADA site had lapsed and some functionalities, including registration, had become unusable. The previous design was dated and cluttered. PADA also required several new functionalities, including rostering.
